considering the firststand outgame that was released a quarter of a century ago was a spiritual successor to the 1988 game Wasteland, it's fair to say that this game and the entire series performed massively better. 10. "Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel"

  • Release date: January 14thº, 2004
  • Plataforma(pt): PS2, Xbox
  • Desenvolvedor: Interplay Entertainment
  • Our rating: 4/10

to say thatFallout: Brotherhood of Steelwas not received, the best thing would be a bit of an understatement. Many of the entries on this list are hotly debated among fans of the series, but fans agree that this game is the worst Fallout ever released.

The game doesn't even feel like an RPG, which is a problem for a lot of people. The main problem is that none of its features stand out in any way. The missions can be repetitive, the combat is anything but dynamic, and none of these features are backed up by a story that would make them worth watching to the end for anyone who isn't completely hardcore.stand outFan.

Perhaps the game's biggest saving grace is that the campaign can be tackled in co-op with a friend. There are also some interesting characters that fans fall in love with.stand outfor. But overall, it's one that most prefer to forget.

9. 'Fallout: Flipper'

  • Release date: December 6º, 2016
  • Plataforma(en): Android, iOS, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Switch, Wii U, Windows, Xbox 360, Xbox One
  • Developer: Zen Studio
  • Our rating: 5/10

In late 2016, a mini table package calledBethesda Flipperexposed and one of the three tables is standing in astand outTable inspired mainly byfailure 4, but also contains elements from older games.

It's pretty low on this list, but that's more because it's a pinball game than the fact that it's a bad game per se. actually manyFlipper-FXFans claim that the table here is good, especially considering the low price.

The Fallout table features several references to the games, including rollovers expressing VATS, Nuka-Cola-style kickbacks, and various perks.

8. „Fallout 76“

  • Release date: November 14thº, 2018
  • Plataforma(pt): PS4, Windows, Xbox One
  • Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
  • Our rating: 6/10

Bethesda has made some... bold decisionsFallouts 76that caused irreversible damage to the game for many. Since then, they've updated the game and fixed some major issues, but it was too late for most. If that hadn't happened, it might be even further down this list than it already is.

The game launched without human NPCs and had several technical issues. The former made things feel strangely empty, and the latter meant that even those who didn't care about the former had trouble staying in the game. As said, most of this has now been tweaked, but some other major issues, such as player complaints about the game's objective and general tone of the story and side quests, feel a little nonsensical.

After the updates, the game has certainly improved, but it still falls short of some of the heights the series has reached in all of its previous years. Regardless, fans are still eagerly awaiting the next one.stand out.

7. 'Fallout Shelter'

  • Release date: June 14thº, 2015
  • Plataforma(pt): Android, iOS, PS4, Switch, Windows, Xbox One
  • Entwickler: Bethesda Game Studios, Behavior Interactive
  • Our rating: 6.5/10

Onuclear wrapit was announced the same day it was released and probably had low expectations as the launch was a mobile-only game, which certainly helped it get better reception as people didn't have time to explore to praise it. To be honest, it only ranks 7th on this list because it deviates from the RPG format of the best.stand outGames, and it's a construction and management simulator, but it does it very well. Shelter outgrew itself commercially shortly after launch, with demand so high that some couldn't even access the app.

The game involves you building your own vault and taking care of those who inhabit it. They are directly responsible for their quality of life and that makes ensuring they have food, water and electricity a fun challenge. There are microtransactions here, but it's a pleasant surprise that you don't feel like you have to pay anything to advance here.

Anyway, this is a spinoff that doesn't have much to do with the main series and nobody says it's the best game in the series, but I loved itstand outFans will appreciate it for what it is; a fun offering that expands on the world they love so much.

6. "Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel"

  • Release date: March 15thº, 2001
  • Plataforma(s): Windows
  • Developer: Micro Forte
  • Our rating: 7/10

Not to be confused with the previousFallout: Brotherhood of Steel, this game came out about three years earlier and was the first spin-off in the series after the first two games in the main series. It's considered mostly non-canon, but it's a game thatstand outFans of that time of the series were the ones who played and had the most fun.

The main reason it has a cap is because it is a turn-based real-time tactical game, as the name suggests. He retreats to the RPGstand outreally shot it out of the park and instead took a more focused look at the fight. That makes it pretty good, but any sort of deviation from the feel of the main games is always met with mixed feelings.

But overall it's a good game. It was the first time that astand outThe game supported multiplayer and the story still felt true.stand out, so it gets 7 out of 10 for us.

5. 'Failure'

  • Release date: October 10thº, 1997
  • Platform(en): Mac OS, Mac OS X, MS-DOS, Windows
  • Entwickler: Interplay Productions
  • Our rating: 7.5/10

The game that started it all.stand outStart by customizing the "Vault Dweller", a character you eventually discover lives in an underground lair nearly a century after a nuclear apocalypse. The initial learning curve can be a little bumpy, especially for first-time players, but once you get over that, it's as rewarding a Fallout experience as any.

If you get a chance to play this game now, twenty-five years after its release, you might also find that the isometric perspective is a bit out of date for you. On the contrary, you'll also be pleasantly surprised at how many of the game's most popular features are already present here. The game features excellent and engaging conversations with NPCs, the special skill system, the karma system, and other mainstays of the legendary series.

All things considered, it may not have aged any better, but it's what started it all and has held up in many ways where many others from the '90s wouldn't, earning it fifth place on the brought-in list.

4. "Fallout 2: A Post-Nuclear RPG"

  • Release date: October 29thº, 1998
  • Platform(s): Mac OS X, Windows
  • Developer: Black Isle Studios
  • Our rating: 8/10

failure 2appeared about a year and a half after its predecessor. It follows the Chosen One, the direct descendant of the Vault Dweller from the first game, and is set 80 years after those events.

It took what made the first game great and, like all great sequels, developed in subtle ways so that no one could deny they weren't improvements. For some, these changes were too incremental, but looking back, Black Isle did exactly what was needed to take the next big step in the series. Less is more as they say.

The world was bigger, the writing was better, and the quests were more satisfying. The roleplaying aspects here are great, and unlike the first game, there's no cap on completing the main story, which encourages exploration and in turn enhances the overall experience. The main criticism of this game at the time of its release was related to its bugs, but that doesn't stop it from asserting itself as one of the greatest games in the series and, for many, their favorite.

3. „Fallout 4“

  • Release date: November 10thº, 2015
  • Plataforma(en): PS4, PS5, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X
  • Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
  • Our rating: 8.5/10

failure 4takes place in Boston, more specifically in an area known as "The Commonwealth". The main story takes place in the year 2287, ten years after the events ofFallout 3and 210 years after "The Great War".

After being taken to a nuclear fallout shelter, you will witness your wife being killed and your son kidnapped. Before you can do anything about it, you're frozen and wake up a little while later and immediately set out in search of your child.

For most, it's a touching and thought-provoking story that keeps you genuinely engaged throughout, though some would dispute that you don't get enough time with your family to be involved in the way the game demands. It also adds a bit more action to the mix, which RPG fans might not prefer. But that's a big reason why the game is the perfect entry point into the series for newcomers. It's great to just come in and enjoy it for yourself.

2. „Fallout 3“

  • Release date: October 28thº, 2008
  • Plataforma(pt): PS3, Windows, Xbox 360
  • Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
  • Our rating: 9.5/10

Call this game not just for the revolutionarystand outseries, but playing at this point is not overkill. There's a reason it was Game of the Year for so many releases in 2008, and that's what puts it at number two on this list.

The game eschews the 2D isometric graphics of previous games in exchange for 3D gameplay and real-time combat. This change by Bethesda, among others, to the first game they developed for the series ushered the series into a new era that would change it forever.

The big story and accompanying smaller stories, the introduction of VATS, and the rich environment really bring the game to life and help it earn its status as not just one of the best games in the world.stand outseries, but one of the best open-world experiences out there.

1. „Fallout: New Vegas“

  • Release date: October 19thº, 2010
  • Plataforma(pt): PS3, Windows, Xbox 360
  • Desenvolvedor: Obsidian Entertainment
  • Our rating: 10/10

When you realize Obsidian Entertainment had to do thisnew vegasOneFallout 3engine in a very short time, it's even more incredible that they managed to create one of the best RPGs of all time.

Your mileage may vary, and honestly, you can rearrange the top three of this list however you like and it will have little to no debate from those who fully appreciate all three games, thoughFallout: NewVegasstands out to us because it gets everything rightstand outFans love the series, old and new.

The characters are memorable, the dialogue is hilarious, and the choices you have to make will have your hair tearing. If you're not thrilled with the game's opening sequence, maybe the game just isn't for you.
